The graduation ceremony for the class of 2026 at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) was held on June 22.

The ceremony was attended by Soeung Rathchavy, Cambodian ambassador to China, Li An, BFSU alumnus and deputy director of the Asian Affairs Department of the Ministry of Commerce, the university's leaders, as well as nearly 3,000 graduates and faculty.
In his speech titled "Steadfast Progress in an Uncertain World," Jia Wenjian, deputy secretary of the CPC BFSU Committee and BFSU's president, congratulated the graduates on their achievements.

Jia highlighted the transformative global changes and the complex international landscape that BFSU students have witnessed, emphasizing the importance of internalizing external uncertainties into personal determination. He encouraged graduates to navigate through changes, make meaningful contributions on the global stage, and pursue steady progress in a world full of uncertainties.

Soeung Rathchavy spoke about the long-standing friendship between China and Cambodia, noting the crucial role of educational exchange in enhancing mutual understanding and lasting friendship between the two nations. She emphasized the importance of empathy, dialogue, and mutual respect among countries and cultures in addressing complex global issues and encouraged BFSU graduates to use their skills to build bridges and seek cooperation for positive global impact.

Li An highlighted the strong trade relationship between China and ASEAN, noting BFSU graduates’ significant contributions to regional economic cooperation through their exceptional intercultural communication skills. He expressed hope that graduates would continue to contribute to the China-ASEAN community of shared destiny.
Representatives of undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students also delivered speeches.
BFSU leaders awarded degrees to graduates and presented certificates to those honored as "Outstanding Graduates."
