Notice on Student Visa Application for International Students Under 18 Years Old

For international students under 18 years old applying for visas (including study visas and visit visas) in China, the following materials are required:

  1. Birth Certificate (photocopy).

  2. Notarized Birth Certificate, including Chinese translation, certified by a Chinese embassy or with an Apostille. 【Original Document

  3. Parental Authorization Letter, including Chinese translation, certified by a Chinese embassy or with an Apostille. 【Original Document

  4. Photocopies of both parents’ passports or ID cards (front and back). If ID cards are used, they must include Chinese translation, certified by a Chinese embassy or with an Apostille.

  5. Guardian Documentation in China:

  6. If the guardian holds a Beijing household registration, provide a photocopy of the guardian's ID card.

    • If the guardian is a Chinese citizen without Beijing household registration, provide a photocopy of the guardian’s ID card and a photocopy of their Beijing temporary residence permit.

    • If the guardian is a foreigner residing in China, provide photocopies of their Beijing work visa, Beijing work permit, and passport.

    • If one parent is working in Beijing, a notarized guardianship statement is not required. Provide proof of parent-child relationship (photocopy and notarized original), photocopies of the parent’s Beijing work visa, work permit, and passport.
