The 2026 scholarship review for currently enrolled international students is now open. Please find relevant arrangements below:
1. Scholarship Types & Allocated Slots
Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students (BGS)
Slots available: 20
Covers tuition and medical insurance fees for the 2026–2027 academic year (Autumn 2026 & Spring 2027 semesters).
BFSU International Student Scholarship (BFSUS)
Total slots available: 38
First Class: 8 recipients (RMB 15,000)
Second Class: 12 recipients (RMB 12,000)
Third Class: 18 recipients (RMB 10,000)
Full-time degree-seeking international students officially enrolled at BFSU who have completed registration on time. Students graduating in January 2027 are not eligible for the BGS Scholarship.
Clean disciplinary and legal record with no violations of Chinese laws or university regulations.
Demonstrate goodwill toward China and a positive attitude toward studies.
Maintain strong academic results and regular class attendance.
Log into the Digital BFSU portal, navigate to the One-Stop Service page, and complete the BFSU International Student Scholarship Application Form. Step-by-step instructions are attached for your reference.
5. Scholarship Award Process
Scholarships are awarded based on three stages: individual application, faculty recommendation, and comprehensive university evaluation.
Reviewers will prioritize applicants’ academic grades, attendance and daily performance from the 2025 academic year (Spring 2025 & Autumn 2025). Top candidates will be selected and matched with corresponding scholarship tiers and funding amounts.
The full recipient list will be published on this website in August 2026. Only candidates who receive no objections after the public comment period ends will officially secure scholarship funding.
Both the Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students and BFSU Outstanding Self-Funded International Student Scholarship are reserved solely for self-financed international students.
BGS applicants must hold a minimum average score of 80 out of 100; successful BGS awardees receive full tuition waivers. Funds for the BFSU Outstanding Self-Funded International Student Scholarship will be transferred in one lump sum to the recipient’s personal bank account located in mainland China.
Slot quotas for the two scholarships may be reallocated flexibly based on application volume and review outcomes. Only one single application package is required to apply for both schemes.
No alternate candidates will be shortlisted if applicants fail to meet requirements or get disqualified during the public comment period.
All applicants take full responsibility for the authenticity of their submitted materials. Any proven misrepresentation will result in all associated penalties falling on the applicant.
