A Letter to the BFSU International Students Abroad

Hope this letter finds you well.

COVID-19 has now become pandemic and is spreading across the world. While taking measures in virus prevention and control, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU)showsgrowingconcern for each of its international students abroad. Hope all is well with you and your families. During this special period, let uswork togethertomeet the challenges, and give each other mutual help and support.

“With face-to-face classroom instruction suspended, we now transit to virtual instructiontoguarantee non-suspendedteaching and learning.” ThoughCovid-19 pandemic outbreak prevents you from returning tocampus, to minimize the adverse impact on your learning,BFSUadopts online curriculum platformto be of assistance to you. You are therefore advised to make quick adjustments. Please follow your teachers’ instruction, concentrate on your studies, and actively involve yourselves in online courses.BFSUwill inform you of the resumption date soon after it is set.

Your health and safety isBFSU’s paramount concern. For the sake of self-protection, you are advised tosuspend travel arrangements, closely monitor the pandemic changesin your area, cooperate with local government to take pandemic prevention and control measures, and try every possible means to protect yourselves.

We do believe that the current difficulties are only temporary. No matter where you are, please bear in mind our University’s motto: “Learn with an Open Mind; Serve a Great Cause”.
