As stipulated in the Nationality Law of The People’s Republic of China, the People’s Republic of China does not recognize dual nationality for any Chinese national.

Beijing Foreign Studies University does not accept Chinese nationals holding foreign passports to apply for our degree courses or majors as foreigners. Any foreigners who apply for the university should declare the nationality of themselves and their parents voluntarily and truthfully. Whenever the university finds a student to hide his or her Chinese nationality or forge certificates, we are entitled to cancel the student’s admission and study qualifications. All the adverse consequences resulted are borne by the students themselves.
