Dear overseas students,

Greetings from Overseas Students Affairs Office. The Christmas and New Year festival are almost coming, so there must be more and more activities for celebrations, while the accidents will happen frequently.

In order to keep everything goes well, Please notice the precautions as follows:

1. Personnel safety

Always do abide by the law. No fighting, Don’t talk with strangers. Don’t accept food or beverage from strangers. Don’t go out alone. If you are in danger, please call your teacher or call 110 for police assistance. Reckless drinking, behavioral misconduct after drinking and driving under the influence is a violation of school policy and is subject to disciplinary actions. He or she will also be disqualified from scholarship.

2. Accommodation

Visitors are not allowed to stay over. Don’t pull the wire for personal use. don’t use high power appliances. Students who live out of our campus should pay attention to electricity and fire safety.Shut all windows, turn off all switches and lock your room when you leave your room for extended periods.

3. Traffic

Please note that in China cars go along the right side. At present, there are around 5.6 million motor vehicles and more than 3 million electric bicycles in Beijing, and hence the traffic condition is very complicated. We request all students to pay close attention to traffic safety and obey traffic rules. Please do not take an unlicensed taxi, or ride a motor car or electric bicycle without a license. Drunk driving and carrying a passenger are also strictly prohibited.

4. Property

Please keep well your belongings such as wallet, certificates during shopping or other activities. Lock the doors and windows when you out.

5.To prevent fraud

Government departments, public security bureaus and judicial offices of China will never request for bank transfers by phone. If you have any questions, please refer to the teachers on campus for information.

Criminals now form a variety of means, students should be very careful, According to a summary of police officers, the means are as follows:

1 ) QQ hacking and online games transaction fraud ;

2 ) online shopping fraud ;

3 ) online lottery or prize fraud ;

4 ) “Network fishing” ;

5 ) tickets ordering fraud ;

6 ) hunting jobs fraud ;

7 ) for a variety of qualifications, level examinations fraud;

8 ) for the academic paper fraud.
