Notice on Off-Campus Internships for Overseas Students

An off-campus internship for overseas students refers to any unpaid internship (except for travel and meal allowances) undertaken by overseas students off-campus in accordance with the learning and teaching plan of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Degree students, i.e. undergraduate and graduate students of BFSU with a residence permit;

2. No off-campus internship at two and more institutes at once;

3. Covered by valid insurance against accidents during the internship.

How to add internship information to the residence permit:

1.Submit the Adding Internship to Residence Permit Application Form for BFSU Overseas Students(available at the Overseas Students Affairs Office website:http://lb.bfsu.edu.cn)to your home department, which shall sign and seal the form and issue a certificate after verifying application documents are verified;

2. Hand in the above form and a letter of consent on receiving internship issued by internship unit to the Overseas Students Affairs Office which shall issue a letter of Consent on Off-Campus Internships for Overseas Students.

3. Go to the Exit and Entry Administration of the Public Security Bureau with relevant documents and add the internship information on the residence permit.

Note:

1. Internship information can be added while applying for a residence permit. Relevant application materials are required.

2. Overseas students are eligible to intern at an off-campus institute after adding the internship information to the residence permit and receiving the service receipt.
