I.Study Visa
1. International students are required to register for study with ordinary passports for non-official purposes and X1, X2 visas or study residence permits handled by Beijing Foreign Studies University.
2. X1 visa is valid for 30 days from the date of entry. Students must apply for residence permit within 30 days. If there is a quarantine certificate, the quarantine period will not be counted.

★ If you live or stay in residences other thanstudent apartments on campus, you should register with the public security organ of your place of residence within 24 hours after you check in.

—— Physical examination report
International students who enter China with X2 visa and study for one semester do not need to have a physical examination.
International students who enter China with X1 visa need to have a physical examination.
Students who have had a physical examination in their home country need to bring the original physical examination report (in Chinese or English) provided by their home hospital to the Health Center of Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau for verification.

—— Tuition fee and insurance: Before applying for the visa, self-financed students must pay the full amount of tuition fee and purchase insurance for studying in China; Chinese Government Scholarship students must have tuition fee and insurance confirmed by the teacher in charge of the scholarship students at the Overseas Students Affairs Office.
—— Certificate of completion, study certificate or transfer certificate of the previous school (any of the three certificates will suffice)
III. Notes
—— After the quarantine is over, please make sure to ask the staff at the quarantine place for a stamped quarantine certificate and keep it for later use
—— If you have obtained a new passport in China, you must apply for a change of residence permit within 10 days; if you have obtained a new passport outside China, you must present it when you enter China and have an entry stamp on it.
