I. Introduction

The Graduate School of Education (GSE) at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), initially established in 2015 and renamed in 2018, is a comprehensive academic institution dedicated to the development of educational disciplines, talent cultivation, academic research, and international exchange. Leveraging BFSU's strengths in languages, regional and country studies, the school examines Chinese education within a global context, researching educational models, experiences, legal policies, and practices across the world, comparing them with those in China, and providing valuable insights and references for China's educational development and talent cultivation.

The GSE focuses on four key objectives: First, to conduct in-depth research on cutting-edge issues in the field of education, particularly in comparative education, higher education, and educational law and policy, publishing high-quality academic works and research reports. Second, to integrate the university's strengths in education, linguistics, and regional and country studies, establishing interdisciplinary research teams to enhance the university's overall research capabilities in education. Third, to cultivate high-level talents in education, offering master's and doctoral programs that nurture educational researchers and practitioners with international perspectives and cross-cultural competencies. Fourth, to engage with society, opening its doors to provide educational policy consultation and services to governments, educational institutions, and enterprises.

Currently, the GSE holds the authority to confer doctoral and master's degrees in first-level disciplines of education, covering five secondary disciplines: Comparative Education, Higher Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Vocational and Technical Education, and Educational Technology. The school manages professional publications such as the *BFSU Educational Review*, committed to promoting academic exchange and development in the field of education.

As a leading institution for educational research and talent cultivation in China, the GSE boasts a distinguished faculty. Building on BFSU's linguistic advantages, the school emphasizes cross-cultural education and multicultural exchange, fostering students' innovative thinking and enhancing their cross-cultural competencies and global readiness. The school places great importance on domestic and international collaboration, establishing partnerships with renowned schools of education worldwide, such as Columbia University and Vanderbilt University. Students have opportunities to participate in international exchange programs, research projects, and academic activities.
