About SIRD
Founded in 2006, the School of International Relations and Diplomacy (SIRD) at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) consists of the Department of Diplomacy, the Department of International Politics, the Department of Political Science and Administration. At present, the school has 32 staff and faculty, including 9 professors and 8 associate professors. The school has about 600 students, including 160 international students from more than70 countries.
SIRD Highlights

6. Valid English Proficiency Certification: IELTS or TOEFL transcripts (for programs taught in English)
7. Valid Chinese Proficiency Certification: HSK transcript (for programs taught in Chinese)
8. Transcripts/Mark Sheets (Please provide original or validated copies. If the documents are written neither in Chinese nor English, a Chinese or English translation version should be submitted at the same time.)
9. Diploma or Degree certificate/Pre-graduation Certificate (Please provide validated copies. If the documents are written neither in Chinese nor English, a Chinese or English translation version should be submitted at the same time.)

11. Two Letters of Recommendation (for applicants of post-graduate programs) from two tutors who must work at a university.
12. Resume (for applicants of post-graduate programs, in Chinese or the taught language of your program)
13. Study Plan (for applicants of post-graduate programs, 1500 words or over for master applicants/3000 words or over for doctor applicants, in Chinese or English)
14. Visa page (for applicants currently studying in a university in China)

16. School transfer certificate or School withdrawal certificate (for applicants currently studying for degrees in a university in China Please upload to the file entitled “other attachment”.)

* The tuition fees payable for years 1, 2 and 4 of the program will be set by and subject to the terms of Beijing Foreign Studies University. The tuition fee for these years will be communicated to you by BFSU and you are responsible for paying the fees to BFSU when due.

[1] Undergraduate students enrolled in degree programs taught in Chinese are required to pass HSK Level 5 180 or aboveby the end of the third year.
[2] Master students enrolled in degree programs taught in Chinese (International Relations/Political Science/Chinese and Foreign Politics/Diplomacy), and doctor students are required to pass HSK Level 6 180 or above by the end of the first semester of the second year.
[3] Undergraduate students enrolled in degree programs taught in English are required to pass HSK Level 4 180 or aboveby the end of the third year.
[4] Master students enrolled in degree programs taught in English, and doctor students are required to pass HSK Level 3 180 or above by the end of the first semester of the second year.
