On the afternoon of November 7, 2025, the BFSU School of Chinese Language and Literature successfully held its 11th International Food Festival in the lobby of the Chinese Language Building. Carefully planned and organized by the School, the event drew enthusiastic participation from faculty and students alike. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, and the festival received highly positive feedback.

As one of the School’s signature cultural exchange events, the International Food Festival has now been held for eleven consecutive years. This year’s edition built on past traditions while expanding its content and format to offer a more interactive experience. Organized at the class level, the festival brought Chinese and international students together, who worked side by side to create a vibrant cultural feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.
At the event, participating teams set up and decorated their booths ahead of time, thoughtfully arranging their signature dishes. At the international stalls, a wide range of specialties, such as German bread, Japanese yaki udon, Tajik salad, Korean kimchi egg pancakes, Turkmen pilaf, French crêpes, Egyptian stuffed wraps, and more, appeared in turn, offering a vivid snapshot of culinary traditions from around the world. The Chinese booths were equally eye-catching, with crispy, tender slices of roast duck served alongside refined tea selections, showcasing the depth and cultural richness of Chinese cuisine.
The festival also featured a handicraft market and a henna art experience area, adding more depth to the event and giving participants a truly immersive cultural experience. Faculty and students meandered through the booths, sampling dishes and sharing conversations, enjoying a lively yet relaxed atmosphere that encouraged authentic intercultural exchange.

This year’s International Food Festival used cuisine as a bridge to bring together faculty and students from diverse backgrounds, creating an open and inclusive platform for meaningful exchange. The event was a vivid reflection of the School’s dedication to openness and cross-cultural dialogue. Looking ahead, the School of Chinese Language and Literature will continue to advance its international mission, further developing high-quality cultural exchange programs and fostering meaningful collaboration and interaction between Chinese and international students. These efforts aim to cultivate talented individuals with a global outlook and strong intercultural communication skills.
