On the night of May 15th, a passionate and wonderful carnival was held in the Bird’s Nest or the National Stadium. Beijing amazed the world!

At 8 P.M., as one of the highlights of the Conference Dialogue of Asian Civilization (CDAC), the Asian Cultural Carnival was hosted by China Media Group debuted in the National Stadium.

President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan along with foreign leader couples who participated in the CDAC attended the Asian Cultural Carnival at the National Stadium. In a warm round of applause, President Xi Jinping, on behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people, delivered a speech and extended his hearty welcome to the guests and artists from around the world.

30 international students of our university from Pakistan, East Timor, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Cambodia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Japan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, India, Indonesia and other countries were invited to perform at the Asian Cultural Carnival.

Their hard work in daily rehearsals and extraordinary performance on stage won unanimously praise from the organisers and the audience. The ancient yet splendid Asian civilizations gathered in Beijing, shining in such a beautiful and colourful way. The students saw for themselves the diversity of Asian civilizations and the friendship among different countries through their participation in the event. This expended their horizons and gave them a chance to meet new friends.

The Asian Cultural Carnival is one of the highlights of CDAC. About 30,000 audiences enjoyed this cultural feast in the stadium.
