In National Day holidays, some overseas students in BFSU visited Beijing Exhibition Center for an exhibition showcasing progress in the past five years under the leadership of the CPC.
The Exhibition was co-organized by Publicity Department of the CPC Central Party Committee, National Development and Reform Commission, Political Work Department of PRC Central Military Commission and CPC Beijing Municipal Committee. It centered on a series of important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping and new ideas, thoughts and strategies for governing the country by CPC Central Committee. The Exhibition was divided into ten themed sections and one experience section, including “prologue”, “practice on new development ideas, lead new norm of economic development”, “commit to political development road with Chinese characteristics, push national governing system and modern governing capacity”, “believe in cultural confidence, create new cultural glory in China”, “put people first, improve people’s satisfaction”, “natural landscape equals gold treasures, enter into new stage for socialist ecological civilization”, “strengthen military force, build world-class military”, “enrich One Country, Two Systems, push national reunification”, “promote a human community with shared destiny, create a new chapter of diplomacy with Chinese characteristics as a major country ” and “strengthen Party discipline, ensure Party’s role as core leadership all along the great cause”. Over 3200 exhibits were on display, publicizing historical reforms undertaken by our Party and country since 18thNational Congress of the CPC.
The Exhibition impressed our overseas students deeply. They all reckoned that China has undergone great changes over the past five years. For instance, in environmental protection, both government and individuals have raised their awareness on this issue. National and Beijing Municipal government have rolled out many measures, including promoting public transportation like convenient subway and especially the shared bikes which facilitate student’s moving around and help environmental protection. Some students believe that in terms of both urban landscape and capacity to create, grasp and spread new technology, China develops unbelievably fast and that it is beyond the imagination of foreigners who have not been to China.
It is said that the Exhibition will last for two months and is free for all visitors.
